  1. In DVDit pe I can't get the Dolby digital bit rat above 256. I see I can have up to 384 and 448 but I can't select those settings. Anyone have any idea? The .avi movie is only 15 minutes long so I know it's not a capacity problem.
    help?

  3. This may sound dumb, but did you actually try selecting the 384 and 448 settings, or did you just observe that they are greyed out in the settings window?
I noticed on my system that the 96, 112, 320, 384, and 448 settings for 2/0 Stereo Dolby Digital appear greyed out, while the 128, 160, 192, 224, and 256 are highlighted in bold. However I can select any of the settings including those that are greyed out.
Also, did you set the project up for CD-R or DVD-R? If you set it for CD-R and you have a very high video bitrate then it might make sense that it would limit the audio bitrate because of the limited CD-R capacity, even with only a 15 minute video.

  4. I can't select them at all no matter what I do, weird. I have even tried it with no movies in it at all. I set it for dvd-r and hit the update and then I try to change the bit rate to 448 and no go. I even set the video bit rate to 2 and this does nothing. Perhaps I need to re-down load the program agian?

  5. That is weird, I guess try reinstalling the program.
Anyway unless you are really an audio perfectionist I doubt you would hear much if any difference between 256 and the higher audio bitrates. Especially since its only stereo not 5.1 surround.

  7. Considering 192 is the standard for 1 or 2 channles don't worry about it. I think the spec calls for a max rate of 256 for 1 or 2 channel sound and a max of 448 on multi channel sound. But you may want to look that up.
