I think it is little bit faster than previous versions, less bugs, and quality is great.

I could not see any difference to TMPGEnc.2.50.
But it is a 14 days trial.

My 2.5 is English and I have 30 days trial. And before it expires, I run one file, and it is again 30 days.

Today I checked the site, and downloaded the newest version, but mine is version 2.02.31.119. How is it possible that you got a newer one???

bartjuh the .com site is not the main site anymore it is www.tmpgenc.net now becuase tmpgenc has teamed up with pegasys-inc ..hope this helps you out a bit and if you want the demo of the TMPGEnc Plus 2.50(sorry its only in japenese language) go to www.pegasys-inc.com and click on the japanese and go to download and they will have the demo of TMPGEnc Plus(14 day demo)

and kabanero we are talking about TMPGEnc Plus which is a 14 day demo and you have to search alot for an english version and the one you are talking about is the freeware(trial for mpeg 2) version of TMPGEnc

well the difrenece between Plus and the freeware is that when you buy the Plus version you get some support from TMPGenc,its a bit faster,and a bit better in quality,and last but not least unlimited mpeg 2 encodeing
