I tried to do a little research but didn't find anything that sounded the same. If I missed it please point me in the right direction.

I used DVD-Lab Pro to create a around 5 menus, the title screen and then individual episode lists on the subsequent 4. After spending hours trying to get it to compile, (i had to re-ecode everything) I finally got the compiler to work.

My problem comes when I try to burn. I keep getting an error that there are files other than the .vob, bup etc in the video folder. There is a VTS.pgc file in the folder and in the folder above it there is a .bin file and then I have my menu bmps.

I hit the option to remove all non compliant files and it deleted the menu bmp and then when I went to burn nothing worked. Is this a common error or am I just stupid.

    Many thanks!

I have seen your errors.bmp. I would suggest to do new compile into new folder and see what you get. I use lab-pro and after compile there is only VIDEO_TS and AUDIO_TS folder with empty audio and video files in video. You have some strange things in main folder and video folder. It looks like those were left there from previous work and giving you problem with burn.

If you make new folder, after compile you will get other folder inside which will have AUDIO and VIDEO_TS sub folders. Use that other folder for burn.
Otherwise there is DVD Lab forum here

O.K. I went back and re-compiled in a new folder. I got 4 .vob files with stuff in them and five without anything. Are those 5 the menus?

Also when I tried to burn it says VIDEO_TS is missing has no files or some files are missing. Anyone know whats going on?

I've really enjoyed this program so far but I'm getting annoyed with all the errors i'm encountering.

    Thanks again

What version of DVD-Lab are you using?
What software are you using for burning?
When you burn are you clicking on Folder with AUDIO and VIDEO_TS in it, or on VIDEO_TS folder?
Your 5 zero files are your menus.

    DVD-Lab Pro 2 (2.20)

I tried using the burning software that came with DVD-Lab but that came up with the error about invalid file types. I deleted those and then I get an error about it being incomplete.

My drive came with a partial version Nero. When I added the files I get a compliance error. I must be missing something.

    *Update*

I went back in and demuxed all the video and then compiled and burned. Everything worked great.

However towards the end of the DVD I lose the audio. This happens at about the 19th of the 20 chapters. Anyone know what can cause this.

It sounds like your have issues with the source.

    What was your source ?
Why did you have to re-encode ?
What is the audio format ?

FWIW, even Oscar, the author of DVD Lab Pro, recommends against using the in-built burning engine. Use Imgburn 2 in build mode to burn your Video_TS folder.

If you use DVD-Lab all the files have to be the same type in same VTS. That is aspect ratio, fps, size, type also audio has to be the same format. If they are different you have to put them in separate VTS and use WMG menu to connect to them.
All files have to be demuxed when inserted into the assets window. DVD-lab will ask you when inputting the file so let it do.
If you have NERO, it may have Nero Recode, use that for burn, if your project from DVD-lab fit to DVD5 than it will not compress anything. Lots of people use Imgburn like "guns1finger" say.

My source file was an AVI which I converted to and MPEG using TMPGEnc DVD Source Creator.

I then added the MPEG file to my assets and used that to de-multilex the video into Vid and audio.
The vid is an .mpv now and the audio is .mpa

I used VLC and just tested the audio file and it works all the way through to the end.

Edit: After the Compile I did use the burner built in with DVD Lab not Nero
