  1. Hi,

I'm new to this, and like all newbies have encountered a problem I hope you can help me with.

I converted a AVI Movie to VOB (for DVD) using Cucusoft AVI to DVD, I tested PAL 25fps and found the output video juddered, every 2 secs on fast moving scenes. I resolved the problem by using NTSC format, I tested both 23 and 29fps and could see no real difference, but the juddering stopped. I don't mind using NTSC as it creates a deeper letterbox that improves the resolution, but ofcourse reduces the viewing area on screen. But what's the deal with PAL judder? There was also a 24fps (standard film rate) that I haven't tested.

    Now, sound problem.

I extracted a BIN image of a movie and created a DAT file using UltraISO, then I conveted the DAT to VOB using Cucusoft AVI to DVD in PAL 24fps. This time no real judder, just overall medium video quality (was originally a VCD/SVCD) but the sound cuts out for 10 seconds every 2 - 2.5 mins, but the original DAT video is fine, so something has scuppered it in the VOB conversion?
What can I do to stop this?

    Thanks.

    Ron.

Try something else than cucusoft like ConvertXtoDVD, easy to use and handles downloaded avi very good.

And you can also use it for vcd to dvd or read www.videohelp.com/vcddvdr for vcd to dvd without any video conversion.
