Can anyone help me ???
I am trying to copy a protect VCD which is read only, can anyone tell me if there is any way I can get arround this. It would be of great help.

Lol.
All VCD's are read only. The very fact they r on a CD makes them read only.
Rip the files and then click on each one and hit "properties" and uncheck "read only" then hit apply

the problem I am having is when i try to rip the .dat file it will not let me. This is the first time I have ever had this problem and I am pulling my hair out as to how I go about copying these VCD's. Any more help will be most greatfulOn 2002-01-16 13:19:27, Greg12 wrote:

Just do a DAO copy with Nero, CDRWin, Clone CD, etc.
You may have unrecoverable sectors on a VCD as the video tracks don't contain ECC. This may cause some copying proggies to baulk. With something like CDRWin, just change the setting on "Error Recovery" to "Ignore" or "Replace" rather than "Abort".
