  1. I want to express my appreciation for this forum and the contributions of its members which have enabled me to produce good quality VCD's.
I compiled an SVCD with 30 odd small tracks, which creates 3 menu screens using Nero (5.5.6.4). On my Pioneer DV-343, PBC mode brings up the first menu, but no matter what I do, I can't go to the next menu.
When authoring with DVD Movie Factory, I can navigate with next and previous (buttons)fine. The problem with this is that you can only have up to 6 items per menu, and the entire set of tracks are not numbered sequentially, but start at 1 on each consecutive menu.
What I want to do is review the tracks with the menus, and select one and have it repeat play, but in PBC mode the repeat track function is disabled - you have to exit the PBC mode (Stop) and key in the track number. Sorry to ramble like this.
I welcome some wisdom here. Thanks much.

  2. Everything you want to do here can be easily accomplished with VCDImager and manual editing of the XML. I'm not entirely sure if TSCV can create this natively (I don't use TSCV), but I'm sure that it should be able to at least create the skeleton of the XML file for tweaking/manual editing afterwards.

I suggest that you read the articles here: http://www.geocities.com/medinotes/vcd or the mirror http://www.vcdimager.org/guides

There's a learning curve but once you get started, it's quite easy. Post any specific questions here or in the VCDImager forums.

    Regards.
