I just got a bunch of MPG movies, claiming to be VCD ready...i put them through nero and burnt them, no problems...until they got to my Philips Dvd-711...all black and white, no sound, and just too big...my logic thinks its a PAL movie...after it gets put into nero i can double click and it says PAL, another said NTSC...is this true???
if it is PAL...am i out of luck watching it here in the US?
I read my book, i CAN change the NTSC-PAL settings on my dvd player, but i think its actually the TV that needs to be put on PAL for it to work...correct? and im gussing i cant do that with my tv...
is this what the region hacks are for or...
THANKS GUYS!
Ross

Well, have you tried changing the PAL/NTSC setting on your DVD player?
Many DVD players can convert from PAL to NTSC and vice versa but some may not do it well...

Yeah, the book said I could do it...but i think it got the info from the TV..not necessarily the VCD...but either way i tried it in PAL, and in NTSC and it did the same thing
