I attempted to author my largest DVD yesterday. The image is 4.1 gigs in size.
I authored on a Win XP machine, to an NTFS hard drive, but my burner is installed in a Win 98 machine (networked).
I couldent transfer the image to the Fat32 drives in the burning machine, so I attempted to write from the image through the network.
It burned fine, but the disc wont play on either of my computers. My Sampo DVD player attempts to play it, but after displaying the main menu it refuses to allow me to access any of the submenus.
The DVD image plays flawlessly on the XP machine using the virtual drive installed with VideoPack5.
I'm wondering if the problem is caused by my burning the disc through the network?
Are there any workarounds to writing an image over 4 gigs to a Fat32 partition (other than installing one of those "NTFS to Fat32" programs (which I'm going to try)?
