    hi

I use avi.NET to convert DVD to Xvid.

1 min and 5 sec of DVD:
    Output to XVID:

    640x 368
    Quanz: 3.0
    11.6MB

    480x288
    Quanz: 2.5
    10.8M

Can anyone tell me which one is better in term of QUALITY, I'll watch these on my 17inch monitor FullScreen and on an average TV with my PS2 (able to play Xvid).

    thanks in advance.

You are the only one who can say, since you are the only one who can look at them both and compare.

You could also consider say 480x368 with the PAR set to 184:135. No AR error that way either.
    640/368 = 1.74, ~2% error
    480/288 = 1.67. ~7% error
Assume you were aiming for 1.78

i can't tell the different between the two.
So if to choose 1 of them, 640/368 would be the recommended?
