  1. I successfully burned my first DVD using this combination. On the creation screen of Movie Factory, it said "burning at 1.0 x 1385 kb/sec". It took about 50 minutes for the writing process. This was a generic DVD-R.

I know the A03 is a 2x burner. What should this time be?

    Thanks

  3. Is this true? How do it know the difference?

So what is the REAL TIME burn time for a full 4.3gb DVD-R at 2x? About 30 minutes or so?

  4. The Pioneer A03 will burn DVD-RW at 1X. DVD-R will burn at 2X (2.4) supposedly. I heard that it's not a true 2X. Check some reviews online. See the excerpt from an article below.

"In the end, we found that the 2X DVD-R rating of the DVR-A03 is somewhat misleading. Burning DVD-R media at 2X requires a test burn, which effectively doubles the burn time and gives you an effective 1X burn."
