I followed the procedures as closely as possible.

1) Downloaded Divx file
2) Used AVI2VCD to decompress the sound producing a file 2 1/2 times larger.
3) Used TMPGEnc to covert to MPEG. I can now open the new file and click on De-multiplex in TMPGEnc and see that I have a stream of:

MPEG-1 Video 352x240 23.976fps 1150kps
MPEG-1 Audio Layer-2 44100Hz 224kbps

4) I open Nero 5.5 to burn the cd, but it tells me the mpg is invalid, and I need MPEG-1 which was encoded for VCD:

The following problems were found:
-stream encoding which is invalid for a VCD.

Would I like to Re-encode the video?

I tried once to re-encode it and once not doing it, and both produced a VCD with Video only. I am not sure why Nero is asking this and not burning a VCD I can hear.

Any ideas?
