    what are dvdr.partxx.rar (S) files?

    macpar made these but they are new to me.

    now does one make them playable?

    advantages? disavantages?

    Work backwards, my friend.
    Rar =archive
    partxx=number of parts in the archive
    dvr= this is a dvdr file, usually meaning that once
    decompressed (unRAR'd) it will make a burnable
    to DVD-R fileset ( VideoTS, Audio TS).

    this was the first time I got a dvdr out of a rar

    I click on dvdr.rar1 and it expanded with MacPar
