convert avi->mpg then burn = no sound in dvdplayer

i used tmpgenc to convert avi to mpg and when i play the mpg on the computer both vid and sound works. then when i burn to vcd i get no sound in dvdplayer? am i doin something wrong??

you might be using the wrong format. If your in the USA use NTSC not PAL. I had that problem... I used PAL and had no sound and redid it with NTSC and it worked fine.

I havn't had any problems. Just make sure when you make the avi's into Mpeg, load the VideoCd{NTSC} Template, and make sure there is a Audio and Sound path's on the bottom.

Cuz I had the same problem with some anime, but I ended up re-installing 3.11 divx codec and then installing 4.12(4.11??), it works fine now.
