What do the guys. use when doing animtions as flying letters and some stuff for a movie? Except all the filters. Do they use Flash i.e?

If the resolution of the movie is 720x576 will I use the same for flash, or any better if I have a photo? In what size and dpi should I export it to get the best result.

    Thanks!

If you have flash, and are comfortable in using it for your titles, then you can continue to use it. Use the correct reolution (720 x 576 for PAL, 720 x 480 for NTSC) and output as avi (flash should give you this option). Choose a lossless compression if possible.

For images it depends on what you are going to do with them. Most editors that accept images will resize them to fit, however most photos do not have the correct proportions, so you get black bars somewhere to compensate. If you just want the full image on screen, use an image editor to resize and crop to the correct resolution (remembering that TV pixels are not square). If you want to pan or zoom around the image, use the full resolution, and do the rest in your editor.

    Thanx,
But just because I am curious how do the professionals do, when they need some animations in the movie? (not 3D) Is there other applications?

After Effects would be high on the list for smaller houses. Fusion for some of the larger ones. There is also Combustion, and dedicated titlers. I suspect very few professional outfits would be using Flash to do titles.
