  1. Hi, I'm using TSCV and am trying to make a motion menu with thumnail clips of each file. These are not dvds so I can't use the vfapi thing. I tried following the guides and it seemed like everything was working, but the file made in tmpgenc just has black squares where the clips should be. Anyone know a guide that shows how this works? Or can help me figure this out? Thanks.

  2. There is a hard way without using TSCV.
    Try this tutorial:

  3. The easiest way to avoid black squares instead of your nice stills or motion menus is to open up your mpeg in media player and then pause it. You will have to generate your menu in TSCV again but it should not have black squares.

    Hope that this helps you

check out the forum at http://www.ttool.de for more info (if you can find it!!)

  4. Which mpeg do I open in media player? Do I need to open every file at once?

  6. Uh, I think if you read how to use the tool, and actually try it, the answer should be obvious.

I *think* that if you want a still shot, you have to open the mpg of what ever you want the shot from. (duh).

However, I do not think I answered your question.

I am playing with the samesoftware as well, as that is the easiet way to learn (of course, after reading the posts as to WHAT software is worth learning).

I don't know what video card you are using, but for me the media player trick didn't work. I have a ATI Rage Fury Pro and what worked for me was to start up the ATI Video In program. I read on ttools site that this is an overlay problem and this may be "activating" the overlay graphics correctly. If this is the case than I would think any of the mpegs should make it work.
