Someone help me out with IP phones. What I want is a phone that simply plugs into a router and can send and receive calls with no other service or software required. For example, I just want to replace my phone with an IP phone and pay nothing to nobody. Nothing fancy like a display or call forwarding, etc is required. Does such a thing exist or am I required to go through somone like vonage and sign up for a "plan" in addition to having the phone?
