  1. Are there any Windows XP PC-programs which removes the flickering in the image you get when you shoot a picture of a TV or a computer monitor, and makes it stable, flicker free?

  2. Set your camera to 1/6 second or slower, and shot the picture with steady hand or tripod.

Windows has print screen function, and able to get a perfect screen capture, does Suse has anything at all ?

You could try something more elaborate. You could cover the tv/monitor with a bright green or bright blue sheet and crop in your footage after the fact. It would be a little tricky but then you could use any footage and keep it clear and just resize it to fit the space.

  8. I use a canon digicam camcording off a CRT monitor, and a laptop LCD. The laptop LCD does not fliker.

So try camcording a person acting next to a LCD TV.

  9. Doesn't the frames per second have to be the same for the LCD TV and the camcorder for the picture not to flicker?

  10. LCD TV and monitors don't work like CRTs, and don't have scan lines at 50/60Hz that causes flikers. Try it out.

  11. I did, by simply bringing out my new flat screen for my new computer (it's still in the box) and filming it. CRT and TV flickers.

  12. Flat screen TV is normally meant a CRT TV with a flat display surface. LCD TV/monitor is display using Liquid Crystal material. They are different.

  13. Give SingSing a great big cigar for being correct.

People come in to work and the majority of them ask for the price on a flat screen monitor, Meaning they want a Flat panel LCD. Flat screen CRT will most likely have the better picture although I believe LCDs are getting better. I can see a big difference in the display between a old 15" lcd and a new 17" or 19" LCD.
