  1. Like the title says. Have 4 vob files after ripping the DVD with dvd decrypter and when I used VOB2MPEG I got this error about 10 seconds into the process. The files were about 1.5 gb each except for the last one which was about 1gb.
I am using a Windows XP sp2 machine with 640 mb of RAM and a 2.4ghz celeron processor.
Funny thing is that about 3 weeks ago VOB2Mepg worked fine on the same machine (different DVD).
Wound up using VOB Merge which had no problems. Curious about this though.

  3. Unfortunately it doesn't say anything. The error is the Windows XP annoyance box: "Unknown error in FFMPEG. Windows will now close the program."

Will try it again in a few hours and see if I can get any more usefull information from it.

  4. Have managed to recreate the error. It happens with Daredevil and according to the Windows XP error log the trouble is in pthreadGC2.dll. Beyond that I just get the 'sorry for the inconvenience' message.
I tried to combine the VOBs of a RIP of Phantonm of the Paradise and VOB2MPG worked fine. So I am assuming the problem is with Daredevil. Guess it pays to have a back-up tool in the box, that being VOBMerge in this case.

I don't remember having these problems before computers.
