VIDEO_TS.IFO question

Hi. I placed something onto DVD and the file is called VIDEO_TS.IFO. I sent it to a friend via yousendit.com and she could not view it. I know that she normally watches video clips using Windows Media Player. Is there anything I can do to convert this? What do I need?

The IFO file:

. IFO = The IFO files includes information such as chapters, subtitle tracks and audio tracks.

But not the video. That's in the VOB files. If you look at the size of the IFO files, you will see they are less than 60K, while the VOB files will be about one GB maximum.

You might want to look to the upper left for 'What is' DVD. If you scroll down a ways, you will see the DVD structure which will show you what the different parts are.

If you want to send a video clip from a DVD, it's best to convert it to a MPEG as not all players can play a VOB file directly.
