vcd slideshow music???

does anyone recommend any good music to put into a video photo slide show? any ideas. all the pictures are of family and such. any advice would be greatly appreciated

Basically, it's cool to find music to match exactly what's going on (especially if you have a lot of pictures from the same event).

For example, I made a slide show of about 200 pictures from a trip to Italy, and therefore put a couple Italian songs in the background...and it fits perfectly.

You can find music for pretty much any occassion.

I find that good instrumental music works well.

Energy80, cpgoose, what prog did you use to do your slideshow/vcd? I tried flyVCD(kinda buggy), I also used Photosuite4(asf) then used tmpegenc to multiplex. Quality of video was not that good.

well thank you everyone. im using the ulead vcd photo program and so far it looks nice. i found a few aongs from some cds i had and it does make a difference if you choose music that does relate to the pictures. thank you again

thegig...i used roxio's winoncd power edition 5 to create the slideshow. after making about 30 coasters, i got one to work (without lines through my pictures) on my home dvd player. works great.

Actually after some experimenting with PhotoSuite, I created a template that works great with TMPGEnc. Pretty darn good too. Except it has problems on my JVC, but works on all my other DVD players. The only prob with the JVC is it jerks and will stop for a while then try to "catch" up skipping some slides, Sound is good though. But it's also because I'm not doing standard VCD

I'll have to try WinOnCD see if it's any better.

I don't actually make VCD slideshow discs with music, but I used to do a lot of film and photo transfers to video and I always used instrumental music as a backing track.

Totally going against the grain...

Has anyone watched the slide show on The Matix DVD? It's got really hard techno music and shows production stills from the making of the movie. I was captivated by the content, but also by the awesome music.
