Even the skimpy "manual" that comes with VP5 dosen't really tell you how to use it.

Do a search here for "VideoPack 5" and "VP5", and also under my username.

I may write a tutorial eventually, but not until a few major bugs are fixed.

    So don't hold your breath.

  3. Hi Leebo,

I tried to search the forum like you said, but i didn't find anything on how to make a VCD with complex menu system, like with sub menues and stuff... I hope someone would make an easy to understand guide for that... In VP4 it was simple to make sub menues, and have one connection on these sub menues to point at one image, or movie.. but in VP5 it seems hopeless...
Correct me if I am mistaken... but is it also possible to have an on-going background music while you browse the menues ? Or is it just possible to have one background music per image ?

In VP5, Simply add your sub-menu below your main menu, but slightly moved to the right (any item below and to the right of the item above it becomes a sub-menu).

Click on the routings button (at the top tool bar) to show your routings, and drag them wherever you like.

"Correct me if I am mistaken... but is it also possible to have an on-going background music while you browse the menues ?"

I haven't even seen this on "Hollywood" DVD's. I can't say for sure (since I haven't tried it), but I would doubt it.

  5. Hello again,

Sorry if I bother u with question about VP5, but you seem like the only person who knows pretty much about this program.
Anyway, i did as you said in the last message, but i guess its me, but it wont work, i mean the routings... It seems I have to make duplicates of images, which I didn't have to do in VP4.. I will try to explain how my old routing was like.
In VP4 I first made an Intro image with my name, and 3 seconds after it switched to a small Intro Mpg, and when that was finished, then it came to the Main Menu, where I had an episode of a show as number 1. And as 2 I had Plot Summare and third I had Special Features. Now i have succeeded in making it this far in VP5, but now the problems starts, when I put number 2, the Plot Summare, i also have 3 buttons on that image, 1. Play Episode, 2. Special Features and 3. Main Menu... And as far as I have tried, it seems that I cannot make it as easy as i did in VP4. I dont know if you understand what I am doing here.. hehe.. I thought have sub-menues under the existing sub menues... Each image I have, i have 3 buttons, and each image have one button that should point on the episode that should be played. I guess its all pretty easy, but i have tried all day now, and i dont get it to work.. But if not, then i will continue to try.

  6. If I understand you right, you want three buttons ("Play Episode", "Special Features" + "Main Menu") on the "Summare" sub-menu (quite strange menu system, because there is no intuitive hierarchy, but anyways...).

select your "Summare" element and click the "New Element" button three times. Three empty child elements will be created under the "Summare" menu.

Now select the first chapter of your film (the element where the film starts). Right-click on the first new element you just created and select "create reference..." from the opening menu.

Do the equivalent with your Special Features menu (2nd new element) and the main menu (3rd element - btw: you could use the RETURN button of your player instead)
