I'm trying to increase performance to the optimum point I can get it at and I know that one way to do this is to install the ATI software on a hard drive on it's own. When I installed the software though the multimedia center still seemed to want to install on the C drive (where my windows is) as opposed to the D drive which is where I told it to install, or i'm guessing that just told it where to extract the files. Is there a way I can safely install all of the ATI software into it's own separate hard drive instead of having to use the windows hard drive and risk conflicts?

If I'm annoying you a bit I apologize cause I tend to be a little slow with things I'm not used to. I'm guessing that the temp files you are talking about are the files in the ATI root folder on the secondary drive already and that the encoded file is the final product. I do already know how to capture without dropping frames (defragging before capture included) so I'm pretty well off there.

I would save the file from MMC to the second drive during capture.
