Hi, I heard you can make a vcd that is also an audio cd that can be played in any regular discman........so, I was wondering how would you do this. I heard that one can do it with video pack 5, can anyone be kind enough to tell me how?
I tried searching the forum, but the search doesn't seem to work anymore.
Also, can this process also be done for a SVCD?
Thanks a bunch

You can put CD-DA tracks on the end of a VCD and this is fully supported in the specs. However, not too many authoring programs actually support this. The only one I know for certain is VCD Toolkit (or Video-CD 2.0 Toolkit 1.0). I don't know about Videopack5.
I'm not entirely sure for SVCD but I think you ?may not be able to do the same thing.
It should be noted that not all audio CD players will ignore the data tracks before the audio tracks. Some may play the data tracks as silence (which though not ideal is OK). Some may play it as digital noise which is dangerous for your speakers.
Regards.
