I am now long on my way down the VCD road. Recently I started playing with SVCD. My question is start down the SVCD road or continue with VCD. I am struggling with Dazzle II getting 45 minutes on a single CD when using SVCD. Do I lower the bitrate to make it fit or just live with VCD? when all is said and done in 3-4 years will either but more likely to outlive the other? Which gives me the best shot at converting to the media of the day? I would think SVCD starting with more information but others dont think so since VCD seems easier to convert?

If you are quality person, then most would say go with SVCD, I say go with what works for you, each person has their own taste in quality, for me, VCD is sufficent quality, and I believe it is not gonna die any time soon!
I even think VCD is becoming more and more popular on appliances, I mean, you have portable VCD, but have you seen any portable SVCD players ?
