  1. i need help i start out with a video thats 600mb and when im done converting to vcd its 1.6 gig is there any way i can compress it thanks!

  3. You started out with a DivX file right?

    For standard VCDs, 1 min = 10MB. As the bitrate is fixed, this is directly proportional no matter the length of your movie. Thus, if your movie is about 2 hours long (120min), the total size will be about 1200MB or 1.2GB.

    If you compress it to something smaller, you won't be making a VCD and you might as well have stuck to the DivX. Most VCD movies take up two CDs.
