  1. I have an iso of a dvd however I can't get pass the dvd menu. I know this sounds dumb but I have used WM Player, Media Player Classic and nero showtime and it plays but comes to the DVD Menu and I can't click on play and when I press the play button on the program it still does nothing.

Is there a plugin or video software that can control or has a menu remote control built in???? Thanks

After you convert the ISO to a DVD, you might try putting it into TMPGEnc DVD Author and reauthoring it. Or, check Baldrick's guide for reauthoring:

Are you trying to watch the ISO image or are you trying to watch it on your pc AFTER you burn it to a dvdr ?

  4. I was trying to watch it on my comp. I didn't want to use a blank.

Anyway I got it to work with my powerdvd.

Only one problem now. It seems that PowerDVD can't open a iso/img/bin file directly I had to mount to a virtual drive then open with powerdvd.

Does anyone know of a better player that can control a DVD menu and open the earlier mentioned formats directly.

I was looking at WinDVD 7 Platinum vs. PowerDVD 6 Deluxe. What is everyones opinion.

Guess either you did not see my post or you are a real fast poster

That's why i was asking because i assumed you were talking about watching the ISO image directly, as fas as i know you need to do exactly what you did, mount it and view it.

The only other thing is to extract all the files along with/in the VIDEO_TS folder from the ISO image to open in your software player.

Maybe someone else know's of a program that will play an ISO image and allow you to test the menu, but i never try to watch an ISO image so i'm not real sure about it, i always know how it works before i make an ISO image

As far as which one is better, Personally, i have always like WinDVD better, for a few reasons (like it being able to do some things that powerdvd can't do, but in all fairness, powerdvd can do 1 thing that i like that Windvd can't do) but i have the latest of both programs on my main machine so i guess it would be personal pref. and what all you are using them for.

And did not want to waste a blank ??
Your kidding right ? Blanks are like .40 cents tops!!
ANd there is no better way to test something than to drop it into a standalone and see, because i have seen software players not respond the same as a hardware player.

  7. Thanks for the reply. I guess I'll just mount and watch or use VLC player like I probably should have in the first place. Thanks again.

    I love this forum
