  2. That's because XP doesn't include ASPI drivers!.

Do a search on "forceaspi" on google, etc.

I believe I downloaded mine from doom9's site.

  3. Go to CDRwin's site and get one of their ASPI drivers. I had to try both of them to get it to work on 2000.

I downloaded and installed the nexitech aspi drivers (first on the page) and I still get "no aspi adapter available".

I tried running the program inside the nexitech folder, and it threw my computer to a blue screen saying something like "beginning dump of physical memory" then rebooted.

    I'm scared, anyone?

    Thanks

  6. Both Windows 2000 and Windows XP do not come with an ASPI layer, use Force ASPI v1.7, find it extract the zip file, then run instaspi.bat file and reboot. All your cd-r programs will now work ( CDRWin, Fireburner, Disc Juggler ect.. ). BTW it also works if you have ever installed EZCD as EZCD will install it own ASPI layer but does not play well with other CDR programs much less the OS. V 5 has known issues with Windows 2000 and XP, so If ya must use EZCD, use v 5.02.. But I avoid EZCD and instead use Nero 5.5.5.1.
