  1. I've looked but can't seem to find a definative solution to this problem.

Using Nero I have had little trouble burning BIN files containing vcd or svcds. But sometimes I have burned a complete BIN file only to find that the disc is completely unreadable either by WinDVD or my DVD player. So I then have to extract the mpeg and burn. I have tried both Nero (the two latest versions) and FireBurner, they both produce the same results. I am expecting the problem has to do with the 'mode2' command in the que sheet, though I'm not sure what 'mode2' is. Here is an example of a que:

    FILE "cd.bin" BINARY
    TRACK 01 MODE2/2352
    FLAGS DCP
    INDEX 01 00:00:00
    TRACK 02 MODE2/2352
    FLAGS DCP
    INDEX 00 00:11:53
    INDEX 01 00:13:53

  2. The cuesheet is completely correct. What is more likely is that Nero is not burning the image properly (it's not particularly good at it). I personally don't recommend Fireburner either.

I suggest you try CDRDAO / VCDEasy to burn your CUE/BIN image. You may need to update your ASPI layer first if VCDEasy states that your ASPI layer is not "valid". You can download and install "ForceASPI" here: http://www.vcdhelp.com/tools After you do so, then reboot and try loading VCDEasy again.

Another alternative is to use CDRWin. A free demo version is available here: http://www.goldenhawk.com

The third best way is to use daemon-tools to mount the image as a virtual CD and then use CloneCD to "copy" the disc.

If the CUE/BIN image is dodgey in some way, you can attempt to fix it by using the "CUE/BIN Regenerator" function in GNU VCDImager Tools GUI: http://www.michaeltam.com/vcdimager_tools_gui.html
