Sounds like SpruceUp will be discontinued. Be aware of this when you pay for registration. It might not be around for much longer.

There are a few out there as (mini)DVD authoring software becomes more popular

    Try DVDit http://www.dvdit.com/dvdit_testdrive.html

SpruceUp crashes a lot right when you're trying to import your video clips ... no warnings, nothing. I later discovered it was because my MPEG-1 clips had audio sampled at 44.1kHz (for VideoCD). So now, for future transfers to DVD I've a) abandoned MPEG1, especially for FILM DVDs, and 2) all audio is now 48kHz, because my DVD players support it.

Even if you arent into miniDVD/cDVD yet, I recommend you get SpruceUp before it disappears from the web ... when it works it works great. The version I have does not support 16:9 MPEG2, though, or any form of Dolby Digital audio.
