    please help- when i try to copy one of my back ups sometimes both pcs will not read the disc,they say no disc,i have just done a fresh one which is not read,and sometimes an old reliable back up will suddenly stop being readable,i have used different media,and usually use dvdshrink,nero, and copy to dvd????

    Poor quality media or your DVD-Writer and / or DVD-ROM drive(s) are going out. One thing that migh help is to update the firmware for your DVD-Writer to the latest.

    What media are you using? What writer do you have? Firmware version?
