  1. I am trying to watch a DVD (a region 1 original disc of American Beauty) on my PC and all of a sudden it gave me an error message saying that the discs region does not match that which is set on my computer. When I checked my computers dvd region setting, it was locked on region-2 and wouldn't let me switch. Can anyone inform me as to why this is and how I might change it. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

By the way, I tried to play the DVD in both Power DVD and Windows Media Player.

You only get 4 changes after your original setting by default. After that it's locked on whatever it was last set to.

You should be able to find a region-free hacked firmware at http://forum.rpc1.org/dl_all.php , or alternatively there is software in the tools section under the region free subheading that should bypass this.
    If in doubt, Google it.
