  1. I have Power DVD & Windows Media Player. Both usually has no problem recongnizing dvd disc. But with DVD5 or DVD9 disc -- it doesn't recongnized it at all. What is wrong? How do I go about fixing it so I can get it to work?

    Thanks in advance

Are the discs recorded properly? Sounds like a disc problem...not a player problem.

Possibly codec problem. Get GSpot to identify required codec and then acquire codec if need be.

  5. I tried it out on my desktop - after downloading the codec. It work.

But not my laptop- it just doesn't want to recongnized the dvd disc at all.
How do I fixed it? Since the codec is downloaded. I am guessing now, the dvd player has some problem. It accepts all other types of dvd except for DVD5 & DVD9

    Any advice? Thanks

So desktop and Home DVD player are ok now? Are these +R discs? Consider changing booktype if so. This will mean laptop will read it as a ROM disc. Should solve the problem.
