  1. Im using Nero v5.5.4.0. On the VideoCD menu there are two boxs with checks in them one is the <create standard compliant CD>, the other is <use CD-i application>. I know that the compliant CD box must be unchecked...then what about the CD-i box. Must that also be unchecked, when creating VCDs. And if left checked, what would it do? Thanks

Actaully you don't have to uncheck either, when nero scans the file it will tell you if the mpeg is non-compliant and ask if you want to turn compliancy off. In the newest version it always comes up with a check in it even if you had turned it off before, so I just leave it. Just leave everything in the default setting.

  3. No really true sommersby! When it comes to XVCD, you have to turn if off in the begining otherwise you'll have problems burning. Actually, if your file is encoded as VCD standard, just leave the two boxes "check". But sooner or later, you'll get tired of the blockiness of VCD you'll upgrade to XVCD or even SVCD/XSVCD (if you player supports it). By then, you'll need to turn off the "standard compliant CD". Have fun. Jordan
