I downloaded HBO's Rome, episode 4, from alt.binaries.hdtv (1080i). File size was 4.2 GB. This was processed with versiom 0.3 and viewed on a 42" plasma screen. The video quality was fantastic!! Thank you, Chrissy Boy.

However, there were occasional discontinuities. This was never noticable in the audio but was in the video when there was movement on the screen. It occured both in my DVD player and on my computer.

    Other observations:
Resulting DVD size was 2.98 GB from original 4.2 GB download
Settings tab only gives Shutdown and Options>Shutdown, Force and Force If Hung
Make DVD tab immediately starts the processing.

I realize this is a stripped down program but is this as it should be?

Once again, Thanks for this tool, Chrissy Boy

I would like to know more about your "discontinuites"...

Its all to do with duration. Input & output has the same duration but your input has a higer bitrate (usually 15000kbs+ for HDTV compared to 7800kbs which is the default for HDTV2DVD). Thus the input is bigger that the output.

You would only fill up the DVD if you had a longer source....

I guess missing frames would have been a better description. A character would be walking and suddenly appear ahead of where his step would have taken him.

It appears that the problem was a quirky disk or player, NOT the program.
