i have a season of a myth busters that was ripped from a dvd and converted to xvid. i want to put the season back on a dvd. when i use dvdsp (with the quicktime xvid codec) to burn the files, the image would be over 20 gigs. obviously the original dvd wasnt 20 gigs. since they were converted from .vob to xvid, it seems like there should be a way to reverse the proccess. is there a way to do this and keep the image small enough to fit on a dvd-r (or a dual layer dvd if necessary)?

Take the xvid file, and place it into Compressor.
Using a Bitrate Calculator, figure out the total length of
the xvid, and set the target of the DVD to 4300.
Set and encoding Preset in DVDSP 3 for that,
Process with Compressor creating your .m2v and .aiff
    files.
Import the .m2v and .aiff files into DVDSP 3, build a menu,
    and then burn.

20 GB sounds quite reasonable for the retail DVDs: MythBusters Season DVD Sets: 13 episodes on 4 DVDs: 13 x 50 minutes = 10 hours 50 minutes.
