    Me again

Many of you know I host a Variety Show (in a bar) in my city – lol…jeepers…I’m really gonna make a name for myself in here…bad or good…I don’t know – yikes! Oh well, no one has yelled at me yet!

Have a question about saving my entire Show.

The Show is 45 minutes to 1 hour in length.
I used to save these shows to a VCR Tape; however, that’s soooo 80s.

I would like to beef up how I to save my Shows. I need to know what’s the best way to save my Show?

    A few things:
    - Since I’ll be taping my Show on a Digital Video Camera and transferring the Video to my computer I can’t keep all my Shows on my hard drive…I just eventually won’t have enough space.
    - I ‘think’ I need to save them to another sort of media, either DVD or CD-R.

Here’s what I want to know:
How should I be saving my Shows?

I would like to obtain optimum quality and have the ability to bring them back on my PC at a later date and make edits.

    Thanks so much

DV cameras save on DV tape. Much smaller than VHS tapes. Just keep those.

If you want a watch-ready product, then get a DVD recorder with I-LINK and do a 1-hour mode (XP) transfer.

No computer needed, until you edit, someday later on.

A show from a bar? Sounds interesting.

How much money do these go for?

  4. Where in Canada? Sheesh...I'm in Canada too...that doesn't mean I'm necessarily nearby. The country is over 5000 freakin miles wide!
