Firstly,what format do I need to convert the VCD files to...(i have adobe premier) and once converted..how do i burn the files to the cd i.e. in any particular named files or just the actual movie files?
Appreciate any help whatsoever...just bought aa DVD writer and finding my feet with it.

Very complicated.
First, the movie must be compressed to MPeG-2 and sound must be of 48kHz (best : use template in TMPGenc for DVD).
Then you must create somekind of menu (please see 'How To'| 'Author' | at this site). I don't know if the people here already has some helper about that, I can't give you (I didn't do it myself yet).
There are (warez-)apps available at the Net with which you can author menues for DVD (creating menus, titles, cells, etc.)
