  1. Any suggestions for putting a WMV9 live stream onto television?

Quality is most important. Are there set top boxes or PCI cards for this?

    Thanks

I have a dual monitor configuration with S-Video as the second monitor feeding a TV. I just drag WMP or other player to that monitor and select full screen.

You can do this with NVidea or ATI cards that have video out and dual monitor capability.

Actually, I am looking for something with outputs like the Real Magic XCard, except using WMV9

I would be interested in any higher end products too.

I have tried using TV-outs a little, and have never been fully satisfied with the quality.

    Thanks

The AVeL LinkPlayer2 is an option but be aware that the HD DVD and BluRay HD DVD players coming out later this year will have similar capability + play HD DVDs.

  5. Interesting.
Anyone know if this can play a live stream over the Internet, or does it only handle stored files? Is it possible to build a buffer on playback (like the software windows media player)?

    Thanks

Any standalone players using Sigma's new chipset will handle WMV9. Their latest chipset I believe handles full HD WMV9 (VC-1).
