  1. Hello all!

I'm in need of a capturing program to record in games and such. I've tried a demo of Fraps but when recording everything slows down and quality dosent get any good. I'm no expert but it might be because Fraps only allow max 30 fps...or not, I could easily be wrong. Anyway it dosent record that well for me.

Any suggestions for other good capturing softwares?

    Thanks for now

    Well, here's one:

Listen to the commentary of Resident Evil 2. One of the actresses wanted to experience the whole games as character research, but couldn't get very far. She had a friend record himself (or herself, maybe) playing the game, and then she watched the tape.

    Just one example.

I used to record endings for video games that were hard to beat. Of course, that was in the days of VHS and NES. On upon a time, video game magazines gave you great prizes if you could prove (photo or video) that you could either beat or get a high score. I had my name published once. And got a small prize.

  7. CamStudio 2.00 offers the option of max framerate of 200 frames/second.

It is a good screen capture program, but I have never tried high frame rates.

  10. Buy the full version of Fraps. Its only 29.95$ and gives you full options. Probally your reason for a crappy video is, that you cant be playing and capping at the same time. It will hog up your cpu and your framerates will drop. I suggest capping without being in the game in a free camera mode with any Heads Up Display turned off. Especially in games like BF1942 or UT2004.
