I am confused as to which one of these newest capture cards from ATI to get. It seems that the X600 is better cause it is more powerful due to the 256 MB (speed I guess). But, the 9800 costs more which worries me. So, I need more info and reassurance as to which is better, so if anyone has one of these and has anything to say or has any useful information for me please post. Thanks

It comes down to price...
I think game speeds for either will be around the same if the same games are being used as benchmarks.
Either way you'll be happy.. Trust me I have a 9600XT and it flies with 95% of the current games available.
You can also use tweaker software to bring the X600 up to 9800 speed if Im not mistaken.

If you are going to use the card primarily for its capture function, you don't have to get a high end AIW card. More power with the GPU doesn't do anything for you on the capture function. If you also want to use the card for other purposes as well such as gaming, then a faster GPU is useful.

Are you aware that the X600 is only available in PCIe and not AGP?
So unless you haven't bought your motherboard yet, you really don't have a choice between the two.
Maybe there is a motherboard with PCIe x16 and AGP. If you have it, then disregard my comments -
