  1. Hi,

I've recorded from a live radio some songs. It was broadcasted at 64kbps, stereo and 22 khz.

So sound quality is quite good but the hight frequences seems quite high (like is the bass were cut off).

So I open my mp3 in Soudforge and resample it to 44.100 hz stereo. But now which filters can I use to boost the bass without destroying the sound too much.

I'd like to have it more like audio cd (I know that lost data cannot be recovered).

    Thanks.

  2. Just use the EQ to add more emphasis to the lower freq's.

Sounds right to me. If Soundforge is like Goldwave, there's probably a variety of preset tools, but only you know what you think it should sound like, so fiddling with EQ seems like the best way. I assume you'd use headphones while doing this.

if you're using Audacity, WaveLab or any other editor that supports VST effects, you can try the BaxxPander plugin from Elogoxa, or search KVR-VST for other bass enhancers or subharmonic synths.

  5. Soundforge has a few presets, although I find them overkill most times.
Goldwave is far better IMHO, for the few presets that I use.

Try the WaveHammer plug in for SF. Very nice compression and frequency specific boost.
