I'm converting a lot of tv shows in MPEG1 over to XVID (to save space). Obviously MPEG1 isn't the best looking format, but does well enough. I'd like to know which settings I should use when converting over to XVID. I'm using Virtualdub. I've done a few shows. A two hour show takes about 1.2Gigs and after I converted it, it was around 500megs. Does this sound reasonable or should it be smaller? The conversion process ran around 80fps.
Thanks!
