  1. Hello,
I have a friend whos wife is deaf. He has a bunch of .avi movies, but of course, none of them have subtitles. Is there some place or some way he can get subtitles for his movies? Then burn them together on a disc for his wife to watch? Thanks guys!

I've found in the past (and this is only my experience, mind you) that they generally come as standard features when you buy the DVD
    If in doubt, Google it.

I think these guys have subtitles on most of their movies.

Ignore them. They are so young, that don't realize some of us have VHS, and want to put our movies on DVD, or have a foreign language film we want to add subtitles for a friend or family member not loaded on the DVD/VHS we bought. Anyway, these guys don't have everything, but they do have a lot: http://subtitles.co.il/

Is there a website that has subtitles for EVERY movie?
I wish there was! I have PLENTY of foreign movies on VHS (old Russian sci-fi/Greek & Italian '60s dramas/etc) that I would LOVE to transfer to DVD with English subs. This stuff does not exist on DVD or even VHS already, and is only obtainable via traders who've captured it from TV in various parts of the world.

There's more to life than the latest Blockbuster new release! :P

I heard that. And some of the best movies ever made aren't on DVD yet.

    Try This Site http://www.divxsubtitles.net/
I check there whenever I need subtitles. I have had every subtitle that I have ever needed and in many other languages as well.
Hope you can find what your looking for.
You do have to sign up, but it is free.

I'll agree that it was a little facetious, but intended in a friendly banter-type way, as well as being from my own experiences
