Hi,

I'm in Region 4 and have discovered a small problem.

Firstly, very disappointed that my $1700 DVDR cannot be region hacked yet my old LG $399 DVD player can be quite easily. Looks like I'm keeping both now (groan).

Anyway, I popped in a couple of region 2 and region 1 DVDs and to my surprise, they worked! Yet I have a couple of other region 1 DVDs and the region code error appears.

Is this some sort of bug? How can it selectively choose which discs to play?

Would appreciate any comments please.
