  1. I'm converting a .asf file to mpeg-2 with tmpgenc. the source video file is 16:9. I changed all of the settings in 16:9 (at the start up and in advanced settings) to 16:9, and I also changed the advanced setting to "Full Screen (keep aspect ratio)"....

Now, when the file is done and I play on the computer is is a 4:3. I have yet to burn the file to dvd for playback, but I don't want to until I know I have a 16:9 video. Any help here would be great.

    Thanks!

  3. Well ... I'm hoping someone may have had this problem and tried it. I will try it when I get home if I haven't gotten an answer today, but I'm assuming someone knows what I'm referring to here.

  4. Got it figured out.
For future reference here is the settings that worked:

    Choose:
    DVD NTSC 16:9
    Aspect Ratio of "16:9 Display"
In advanced choose "Full Screen (Keep Aspect Ratio)"

This configuration of settings allowed for a 16x9 .asf file to keep it's 16x9 resolution when being converted for dvd (mpeg-2)

    PEBCAK
    If in doubt, Google it.
