    Just wondering if we can encode audio for use in SVCD with variable bitrate, just as we do for video...

    Anyone knows if this is possible and how it's done?

    Hi,
    I think it is possible with svcd, but I don't know any program which is capable to convert audio to mp2 vbr !
    With VCD is out of standards...

    I don't think the svcd standard allows it either but I may be wrong. However, I have heard that vbr audio causes sync problems on almost all dvd players so I really don't think its worth it.
