  3. i know how to burn a svcd in nero.

    my question is, the mpg is already in mpeg2.

    when i burned, the dvdplayer can't recognizes it. invalid format

  4. Either your DVD player doesn't support SVCD, requires a strictly compliant SVCD, or requires the old MPEGAV directory instead of MPEG2 in the ISO filesystem.

    I suggest you first, stop using Nero to burn SVCD's. Nero does NOT burn compliant SVCD's. It reconverts all video without scandata. No scandata, meaning no fast forwarding and non compliance with standards. Bad Thing.

    Second, look for a SVCD logo on your DVD player. If it isn't there, check the box it came in. Failing that, check the manual. It simply may not support SVCD. If it's american and old, it probably doesn't.

    Third, if it does support SVCD, but it doesn't play, try burning CD's with the early chinese format stuff: MPEGAV directory instead of the standard MPEG2 and that other dooflitchit, tracks.svd or something. All I know are that they're listed as little checkboxes on one of the TSCV tabs
