  2. i use virtualdub to open the divx file and frameserve to tmpgenc for encoding. you don't have to frameserve is you have enough hd space. you can open the divx file and 'save as segmented avi', then load up the file for encoding.

  3. Everytime i open the file in virtual dub get an error saying i need a special codec Widows something mpeg 4v3 i think. I have 27gb's. You know how to get around that problem? I downloaded all of the codecs off of here and even tried the SMR codecs. Also i just figured out, if i pt fullscreen after the error happends, it continues playing the file. Can't just keep doing that cause i dwnloaded the movie to play on my comp, and its not that great of a comp.

If you dont have the correct codec, then nothing can be done. Too fix bad frames use "vdub-mp3-freeze.exe" is makes a list of bad frames which can later be removed.

Try "DivX411Codec.exe" (New) and 311 Alpha and DivX Mpeg4 (Fast/slow motion) and Mpeg 4 V1,2,3

    Search grokster for "codec"
