Avi files have no sound...

Hello

I hope sum one can help... the last couple of days i've been messing about with avi files (divx & xvid files too). ive been tryin a few different codecs to see witch one runs them ok with out that annoying divx logo that you get with divx 5.2.
Last nite i was watchin the avi file of Pitch Black & it was runin ok, with divx 5.2 installed tghat logo didnt go away so i tried to install another codec. but there was no sound on the avi file. so i uninstalled the codec & put divx 5.2 back on my computer but the file still played with no sound... i thought sumthing bad must of happened so i have spent today rebooting my sytem from scratch. i finally get it all up & running i put divx 5.2 back on but the file played once again with no sound...

Does any one knows what could or has happened to my pc to stop the sound on my avi files????

I've just sorted the problem...

I can now watch Pitch Black With Sound OHHHH YEAHHH!!!!!!

For the record then:

Disable the DivX Logo thus:

Start -> Programs -> DivX -> DivX Codec -> Decoder Configuration Utility -> Quality Settings Tab: Tick 'Disable Logo'

Or of course you could delete everything off your PC and reinstall everything....

On second thoughts, DON'T do that!
