    Hey all,

Somebody just gave me a DVD but I can't watch it because it's Swedish. It doesn't have any other subtitle tracks apart from the Swedish one and the directors commentary (also in Swedish). I've managed to grab some English subtitles from some site but I'm not sure how I ought to go about using them?

Should I try to convert the original DVD to DivX and then use the subtitle file with Mplayer or VLC? I'd really like to get the English sub's into the DVD so I can lend it out to others. I'd like some others to see this movie.

    Tim.

  2. use FFMpegX, DVDSP to rip and put subs under it. Do a search and you'll find it.

Cheers MacFan, I'll look harder. I did a quick search in this forum and found a few threads asking similar things but neither had been replied to. I wasn't aware of the separate ffmpegX forum and I think I'll find more help in there.
